Yelena

Meet Yelena.  Everyone calls her Yell.  She's one of the three characters I've created for the purpose of practicing my painting.  She's got a a pretty strange family and absolutely no time for bullshit.  Her mother's Native American and she doesn't know her father (it's a mystery, y'all!)  She and Lyra are as close as sisters.

Philyra

Meet Philyra.  Her friends call her Lyra and no one calls her Phil.  She's a mermaid who grew up in the tropical parts of the Pacific Ocean.  She's a shapeshifter and she loves to sing at the very top of her lungs, which works out since she has a damn-near hypnotizing voice.  She's a character I've made up in order to try out different styles, so you'll see her again.

Amphitrite

This started as an idea for a girl with green hair emerging from a tree and became this.  I decided to make the hair into water and then I started painting it and liked this better.  Now she's the Greek goddess of the sea.  It is what it is and I'm calling it done!

Original Character Time!

I've been coming up with my own original characters lately to try to practice drawing with.  This is the first fleshed-out one.  Her name is Snow and she's from Louisiana.  More of these to come.  :)
