Because flowers are pretty?

Bright

I know!  Another winning title.  ::high fives self::  I love color.  Ladies are pretty.  Look!  A girl!

Blue Hair

Blue Hair by Holly Ervin

Yes, the title is very thought-provoking, don't you think?  I dunno where she came from.  Painting practice?

Minotauress

Minotauress by Holly Ervin

I've got nothing...no story from whence she came.  I just wanted to do a character with a background.

Don't Forget Your Hope

Don't Forget Your Hope by Holly Ervin

This started as a landscape practice and ended up here.  :)

Chess & Terrible (Downside Ghosts)

Chess & Terrible (Downside Ghosts) by Holly Ervin

If you've ever read Stacia Kane's Downside Ghosts series, you'll know and love Chess & Terrible!  If you haven't, I highly recommend them!  I promise you've read nothing similar...ha!

Liv Moore (iZombie)

Liv Moore (iZombie) by Holly Ervin

You know how life happens and you fall behind on a TV show?  The lead character of iZombie is an aware zombie who takes on the personality of whomever's brain she's eaten last.  So, when I went to catch up, this happened!

GIR! (Invader Zim)

GIR! (Invader Zim) by Holly Ervin

I finally, finally got around to painting my companion piece to Invader Zim!  Doom, doom, doom-da-doom!

Glow

Glow by Holly Ervin

Another color palette experiment.  For kicks.

She's got a Jellyfish Hat!

She's go a Jellyfish Hat!!  by Holly Ervin

I have no idea where this came from.  I just chose a color palette and went to paintin'  Also, I've been looking at a lot of jellyfish lately.  'Cause why not, right?

Persephone

Goddess of Spring.  Wife of Hades, Queen of the Underworld.  :)

The Bennet Sisters (Pride & Prejudice)

The Bennet Sisters (Pride & Prejudice) by Holly Ervin

I am such a sucker for a good romance.  And really wonderful sibling portrayals.  And period pieces...and pretty much anything written by Jane Austen.  It was about time.

Ghoulia Yelps (Monster High)

Ghoulia Yelps (Monster High) by Holly Ervin

I got the itch to draw (read: play with this color palette) Ghoulia.  She's totally my favorite.

Poison Ivy (DC Comics)

Poison Ivy (DC Comics) by Holly Ervin

I think I just really love painting green skin.  I did a darker version of her which is weird and you'll never see it, but I felt compelled to try again and this is what I got.  I like this one better.

Killer Frost (DC Comics)

Killer Frost (DC Comics) by Holly Ervin

Not to be confused with Caitlin Snow (the current and third Killer Frost), this is Louise Lincoln, the second Killer Frost.

Miss Martian (DC Comics)

Miss Martian (DC Comics) by Holly Ervin

Miss Martian is so much fun to draw.  She's got so many powers and such a personality and such a great backstory.

Vixen (DC Comics)

Vixen (DC Comics) by Holly Ervin

Vixen is so underused.  She can channel the power of any animal (including ones that fly!), how is that not useful??

Lois Lane (DC Comics)

Lois Lane (DC Comics) by Holly Ervin

A friend asked me to do a piece of Lois from the Superman Animated Series.  I always liked the version of her with violet eyes.

Starfire (DC Comics)

Starfire (DC Comics) by Holly Ervin

I'm currently working on a kind of 'Ladies of DC' bust series.  This is where it starts.  :)

Star Butterfly

Star Butterfly (Star vs the Forces of Evil) by Holly Ervin

I love this cartoon.  It's so much fun and I really, really like fun.
