Twyla (Monster High)

Twyla (Monster High) by Holly Ervin

I've been trying my hand at cell shading lately.  Just playing around...

Pidge (Voltron)

Pidge (Voltron) by Holly Ervin

My niece suggested I watch the new Voltron because we're both sci-fi weirdos and I LOVED it.  Pidge is my favorite!

Chess & Terrible (Downside Ghosts)

Chess & Terrible (Downside Ghosts) by Holly Ervin

If you've ever read Stacia Kane's Downside Ghosts series, you'll know and love Chess & Terrible!  If you haven't, I highly recommend them!  I promise you've read nothing similar...ha!

Laguna Blue (Monster High)

Laguna Blue (Monster High) by Holly Ervin

I don't know if I should love Laguna more or less.  Normally, by favorite character is whichever one has a connection to the ocean or fish (I'm looking at you, Aquaman!).  This time, however, it's always Ghoulia or Frankie that wins my heart.  Gotta love Laguna's accent, though.

Iris Clops (Monster High)

I've got a few Monster High pieces just sitting around, waitin' to be finished.  I love painting them!

Liv Moore (iZombie)

Liv Moore (iZombie) by Holly Ervin

You know how life happens and you fall behind on a TV show?  The lead character of iZombie is an aware zombie who takes on the personality of whomever's brain she's eaten last.  So, when I went to catch up, this happened!

GIR! (Invader Zim)

GIR! (Invader Zim) by Holly Ervin

I finally, finally got around to painting my companion piece to Invader Zim!  Doom, doom, doom-da-doom!

Persephone

Goddess of Spring.  Wife of Hades, Queen of the Underworld.  :)

The Bennet Sisters (Pride & Prejudice)

The Bennet Sisters (Pride & Prejudice) by Holly Ervin

I am such a sucker for a good romance.  And really wonderful sibling portrayals.  And period pieces...and pretty much anything written by Jane Austen.  It was about time.

Ghoulia Yelps (Monster High)

I got the itch to draw (read: play with this color palette) Ghoulia.  She's totally my favorite.

Poison Ivy (DC Comics)

Poison Ivy (DC Comics) by Holly Ervin

I think I just really love painting green skin.  I did a darker version of her which is weird and you'll never see it, but I felt compelled to try again and this is what I got.  I like this one better.

Killer Frost (DC Comics)

Not to be confused with Caitlin Snow (the current and third Killer Frost), this is Louise Lincoln, the second Killer Frost.

Miss Martian (DC Comics)

Miss Martian (DC Comics) by Holly Ervin

Miss Martian is so much fun to draw.  She's got so many powers and such a personality and such a great backstory.

Vixen (DC Comics)

Vixen (DC Comics) by Holly Ervin

Vixen is so underused.  She can channel the power of any animal (including ones that fly!), how is that not useful??

Lois Lane (DC Comics)

A friend asked me to do a piece of Lois from the Superman Animated Series.  I always liked the version of her with violet eyes.

Starfire (DC Comics)

Starfire (DC Comics) by Holly Ervin

I'm currently working on a kind of 'Ladies of DC' bust series.  This is where it starts.  :)

Klarion and Miss Martian

Young Justice Miss Martian by Holly Ervin

I've been trying out some different styles lately.  Trying to figure out what's what.  This is what I'm starting to call my 'comic' style.  Or something.  Both of these characters need more play.

How do you *not* do Trick 'r Treat fan art for this challenge??
